A note from our wonderful DJ & host, DJ Dayglow:

it’s been an incredible two years y’all. i want to thank each and everyone of you who have come by to dance and be yourselves. at the end every single party people have come up to me and told me that *pink noise* is special and different, that they’ve felt comfortable dancing when they usually don’t, and it’s filled me with immense joy and gratitude. i can’t believe people come every month! it’s a great feeling. i’ve booked and promoted this party all by myself for two years, and now i gotta do other shit!

when i started this party, i didn’t really have any other goal than to provide a visible, physical space in boston for women who make electronic music. i wanted it to be completely open genre, wheelchair accessible and free, no cover! i wanted my friends to be able to DJ and i wanted to PAY every single person who played. I DID ALL OF IT GUYS. i accomplished all my goals and so much more! it’s time to dream bigger i guess!!

the most important thing i learned from doing this party that i want to pass on to other women artists is this: you have absolutely no idea what is possible and nobody is going to give you permission. nobody is going to say “this will work out exactly the way you imagine, you can do it now.” you just have to take risks. and you have to ask for exactly what you want. sometimes you have to demand it.

i want to thank EVERYONE at Milky Way who took a risk! what a dreamy space for a lil party in the city! it’s been perfect.

i also can’t believe the incredible roster of people who have played this party. MEGA WATT STARPOWER. thank you all so much for coming to my zone and eating pizza. what a thrill.
